Swine Flu Panic?

Just one question: If the powers that be don't want us to panic, then why have so many school districts and event planners cancelled so much, particular at this end of the year rush?

Governer Goodhair gets on television and tells us everything is okay, but then asks for federal dollars to help with the Swine Flu Epidemic. This is the same governor who refused stimulus money that could help Texas, and threatened to secede from the country in a wonderous political move meant only to further polarize the country.

Back to the issue at hand. I didn't worry when a couple of schools, trying to play better safe than sorry, closed. But I got concerned when Ft. Worth, a large school district, closed. Texas and Alabama stopped UIL events, and know I have concerned parents for my soccer team wondering if it is safe for their kids to play.

I don't want to be over cautious. But I don't want to expose my kids to danger. I really don't appreciate the mixed messages.
